When I first came here in the Kingdom I had been bragging my
fiancé to bring me in a seafood eat all you can restaurant whenever he will ask me what and where I want
to eat. His reply has always been either "I don't know one from here"
or "Any other choice?" followed by a Thai dinner or a take-out kabsa.
One fine Sunday, I was off from work then, he fetched me right
after his office hours around 5:30pm for
a dinner date without bothering to ask me same question I mentioned above. As
he parked the car, the place was new to me and it was our first time to visit the
resto together. As we entered the place, it has a very cozy impression with the
lighting and set up designed in a European way and voila! seafoods here and
there welcomed my eyes and they are all fresh prepared for the guests to cook
by themselves.
Hotpot is a grill and Shabu-shabu eat-all-you-can-buffet
restaurant. As I pleased myself with the choice of a table location, a very
friendly waiter named Ervin was so kind orienting us on what to do as we are
both a newbie to their unique diner. Each single table that can accommodate 4
persons has 2 burners where you can fry to one and boil in the other. In here, you have three options of readily
spiced soup, tom yum, sinigang and sate to which fresh sea foods of your choice
you will personally add. We had chosen sinigang added with tuna, shrimps, crabs,
bangus, salmon, squid and more, top up with spices and condiments made our
cuisine superb! It only took us about 5 minutes to boil everything together and
ready! We fried shrimp, lamb, chicken and more seafood while boiling our soup,
tempura and sausages should never be out listed because that is his favorate,
hahaha! it made me laugh to realize that he enjoyed eating them given many
other options! We stayed there for almost three hours, we had another set of
soup preparation and fried more than three sets of seafood, one after another,
our dinner made us really full! Diet was totally bypassed and neglected.. :)
I enjoyed this hotpot date, my craving for the same food was
satisfied and I am certain it was the first but not the last visit.
Hotpot Tips:
1. Make sure you will take an empty stomach, fasting for six
hours maybe, before going there to make it more worth it!
2. They have this summer promotion that will last June 5,
instead of paying the regular SR60/head, now only SR45 but you have to be at
least 4 persons. Bring your friends then, more enjoyable as well.
3. You should come before the last salah, around 6:30 to
7:00 so that you can maximize your time.
4. No left over! a charge of 50 will be shouldered in such case.
4. If you are currently on a diet, DO NOT come here, this
place is not for you.. :)
